Look ahead, not at the cursor
Keep attention on the next opening instead of staring at the ball. The ball shows your position. The next opening is the problem you need to solve.
Use smaller corrections
Large emergency movements create more chances to hit a nearby edge. Try to enter each gap from a position that leaves room for the next correction.
Keep the setup stable
Changing pointer sensitivity, mouse, display, or browser can reset your feel for the task. Consistency makes practice easier to interpret.
Stop when practice becomes sloppy
Repeated rushed runs can turn into random movement rather than useful practice. A short break can be more valuable than another low-attention attempt.
