Your display is part of the loop

A higher refresh rate changes how often a new frame can appear, which can change the feel of fast visual control.

Human Precision updates inside the browser and depends on your display to show each new frame. A monitor that refreshes more frequently can present visual changes at shorter intervals than a lower-refresh display.

Refresh rate is not the whole latency chain

Panel response, rendering time, browser scheduling, input polling, operating-system processing, and game frame rate also matter. A high refresh-rate label does not guarantee identical end-to-end latency between systems.

Compare like with like

If you change monitors, treat the new setup as a new baseline. The leaderboard does not attempt to mathematically normalize every possible display.
